Microsoft Office Integration
SouthWare's integration with Microsoft Office is another way to join SouthWare data with tools that allow users to be efficient and productive. The following are a few of the many ways SouthWare integrates with Microsoft Office.
Example 1: FYI query to Excel
FYI is SouthWare's querying tool that allows a user to quickly create queries. An example of a simple query of the customer file would be to pull all customer data with a last sale date that falls within the last 3 months. By clicking the Excel button on the top navigation bar, the data will instantly be pushed to an Excel Spreadsheet. Click here to see screen shots of FYI query to Excel
Example 2: SouthWare Service Contract Data to Word Document
Developing Service Contract templates in the technology industry can be difficult since every business has a different version and requirement. When setting up a contract in SouthWare, you can setup an OfficeLink Word template to take the data from the service contract and merge it into the contract Word template.
Example 3: Financial Statements to Excel
One of the output options for Financial Statements in addition to many other reports is Excel. Just choose that as your output option and the data will be sent to a formatted excel spreadsheet.
Example 4: On-site Service ticket mapped with MapPoint
From the service ticket screen, get driving directions with SouthWare's integration with MapPoint.
Example 4: SouthWare data files as Excel or Access Data Source
Using SouthWare's XFD technology and AcuODBC Data Source, you can access the SouthWare data files using programs such as Excel, Access, Crystal Reports or any other program that is ODBC compliant.
